The Kuari Pass Trek is one of the most scenic and beginner-friendly treks in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Often referred to as the “Lord Curzon Trail,” this trek is famous for offering spectacular panoramic views of some of the highest peaks in India.
Starting from the beautiful village of Joshimath, the trail passes through dense oak and rhododendron forests, wide alpine meadows, and charming mountain campsites. As trekkers climb higher, the landscape opens up to stunning views of Himalayan giants such as Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Kamet, and Hathi-Ghoda peaks.
The highlight of the trek is reaching Kuari Pass at an altitude of around 12,516 feet, where trekkers are rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding mountain ranges. With its stunning scenery, gradual ascents, and moderate difficulty, the Kuari Pass Trek is perfect for beginners and nature lovers looking to experience the beauty of the Himalayas.
