The Hampta Pass Trek is one of the most dramatic crossover treks in the Indian Himalayas. Located in Himachal Pradesh, this trek connects the lush green valleys of Kullu with the stark desert landscape of Lahaul. Within a few days, trekkers witness an incredible transition from dense forests and alpine meadows to barren mountains and glacier valleys.
Starting from the beautiful hill town of Manali, the trail gradually ascends through forests of pine and oak, crossing streams, meadows, and scenic campsites. The highlight of the trek is crossing Hampta Pass at an altitude of 14,100 feet, where trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of snow-covered peaks and vast Himalayan landscapes.
This trek is ideal for adventure seekers looking for a moderate challenge combined with breathtaking scenery and a true Himalayan trekking experience.
